DESIGN ADJUSTED FOR FINAL PHASE OF W LAKE STREET MULTI-BLOCK…

The new building would have 91 apartments that are affordable and geared toward families. One underground parking level would be included with 62 spaces. Access to the structure at 510 Lake Street West would require a subgrade connection. 95 bicycle storage space would be available within the building.

The building will have 407 to 1,124 square foot of residential units. These units would include studio, two, three and four-bedroom layouts. The MPHA has awarded 18 Project Based Vouchers to the project. Simpson Housing will manage 10 housing supportive units.

The building will have a community room and a fitness center. It also has a bike repair facility. There is also a green roof. A 40 kW Solar PV collection system powers the commons area. There is also a transit screen in lobby. There is also a dog run.

Pope Design Group designed the U-shaped building. It would have an interior courtyard facing phase two right next door. Exterior of the new building will be covered in masonry, metal panels, fiber cement cladding and glass.
