BOTANICAL-INSPIRED COCKTAIL BAR OPENS IN NORTHEAST

In Northeast Minneapolis’ Logan Park, a new botanical cocktail bar opened.

The Elusive Botanical Bar of Dashfire opened recently next to Tattersall, which is a well-known distillery with a taproom right next door. The new bar is based on botanicals and fuelled by experimentation. The space is warm and inviting, with excellent cocktails, including spirit-free, as well as delicious hand pies from Vikings & Goddesses and Sweet Science ice cream. Dots Pretzels, of course, are also available.

The new establishment offers multiple places to enjoy a well-crafted drink (or two), such as “The Garden”, “The Bar”, “The Library,” or “The Lounge.” Jeff Rogers, a leader of the Twin Cities bartending scene, created the new bar with Robb Jones and Tyler Kleinow from Meteor Bar. Elusive offers delicious drinks and snacks as well as a retail space that sells bitters, cherries and cocktails. Elusive offers classes that teach people how to mixology and make cocktails.

Lee and Dawn Egbert founded Dashfire in 2013. The company started out making bitters, but it has since expanded to include cocktails, spirits, coffee, and other beverages. Dashfire was originally located in Minnetonka, but recently moved their productions to the Thorpe Building near Northeast Minneapolis. A portion of their new production facility has been used to create Elusive.

Elusive can be found at 1620 Central Avenue NE Dock #10/Suite 152. It is open Wednesday-Saturday from 4pm until midnight.
